Dr. Maryna Mullerman
Dr. Maryna Mullerman's journey to veterinary medicine began in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and took her across the Atlantic to the United States in 2013. Fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, she enjoys building connections with families from diverse backgrounds and helping pet owners feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their pets' care.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Creative Writing from Stony Brook University and worked at a small animal practice in Brooklyn, New York, before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. Her professional interests include dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and client education. She is passionate about helping pet owners understand their pets' health and empowering them to make informed decisions.
Dr. Mullerman is Fear Free Certified, reflecting her commitment to reducing fear, anxiety, and stress during veterinary visits. She has also completed Peaceful Euthanasia Certification Training through CAETA (Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy), allowing her to provide compassionate guidance and support to families navigating end-of-life care for their beloved pets.
Beyond the exam room, Dr. Mullerman is dedicated to community outreach. She enjoys visiting schools and hosting educational events that spark conversations about animals, veterinary medicine, and public health. She believes that education and accessibility are essential to strengthening the bond between pets, their families, and their veterinary team.
At home, Dr. Mullerman shares life with her husband and her American Cocker Spaniel, Persik. When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys exploring new Mediterranean recipes, attending live comedy shows, and learning new skills. Now in South Florida, she is excited to embrace the region's vibrant cultural diversity and serve the community she calls home.
Dr. Mullerman's philosophy combines compassion, practicality, and a sense of humor. She believes that the best veterinary care happens when pets and their people feel supported, understood, and genuinely welcomed.
